Technological innovation gained the spotlight in combating the new coronavirus.

Technological innovation gained the spotlight as an ally of Health in actions to combat the new coronavirus. In the race against Covid-19, remote tools are already part of the sector’s routine in Brazil. In the context of telehealth, telemedicine, specifically, helps to expand access to health, bringing more efficiency and agility to the processes.

Through technology, it is possible to improve the patient experience, reduce waste, and provide quality care to the population. It is essential to recognize the advancement of telemedicine services in the last year, especially in the context of public health. Among some of the initiatives that we can highlight in this sector is the e-saúdeSP application, made available by the City of São Paulo in 2020. The platform is designed to screen and guide patients with suspected Covid-19 and provides a data integration system clinics and telemedicine that gathers the history of patients from the Unified Health System (SUS) in the capital. Since its implementation in June 2020 until now, the tool has surpassed more than 2.2 million accesses and 472.5 thousand registered users.

The expansion of telemedicine in the sector increasingly clarifies the need for investments in prevention and health promotion solutions. It is in this sense that Duodoctor continuously works with the mission of promoting health, through assistance services and intelligent platforms. “The company has a telemedicine platform fully prepared to offer quality virtual care to the population”, highlights the commercial director of Duodoctor, Marcelo Callegari. Duodoctor’s solution is designed by a team of doctors and nurses with over 30 years of clinical experience and supported by cutting-edge technology in a digital platform and omnichannel. Telemedicine is here to stay.

Technological innovations have revolutionized the area of Health and are directly contributing to the provision of humanized and quality care to the population, especially at the time of the new coronavirus pandemic. “The resources are already protagonists in the current scenario, bringing important health experiences to those who need it most”, concludes Callegari.
